Individual Professional Supervision

A focused supervision relationship for your practice

Individual professional supervision offers a steady one-to-one space to reflect on your counselling work, strengthen your clinical judgement and continue growing and developing as a practitioner.

This is supervision for counsellors and psychotherapists who want a consistent relationship where their work can be thought about carefully over time. This is a place to bring client material, ethical questions, uncertainty, professional development goals and the ordinary complexities of practice.

Good supervision gives you room to slow the work down and notice what matters.

In individual supervision, there is space to think about your clients, your therapeutic relationships, your decisions, your use of self and the patterns emerging in your practice. Over time, that relationship can become a secure professional base, a place where your confidence, judgement and reflective capacity can keep developing.

Your supervision can support you to:

  • strengthen your clinical judgement

  • think more carefully about client work

  • develop your counselling style and professional identity

  • reflect on ethical questions or practice dilemmas

  • build confidence in your decision-making

  • understand your use of self in the work

  • have a consistent place to think about practice over time

  • support your own sustainability as a practitioner

What we can explore:

  • client work and therapeutic process

  • ethical decision-making

  • risk, safety and scope of practice

  • case conceptualisation and treatment planning

  • boundaries and role clarity

  • use of self

  • transference and countertransference

  • rupture, repair and relational dynamics

  • documentation and record keeping

  • professional identity and confidence

  • workload, sustainability and burnout prevention

  • private practice, service systems or organisational issues where they affect your practice

The focus is tailored to you, shaped by what you bring, your stage of practice and the kind of support you need.
